CHEPLAPHARM celebrates topping-out ceremony

Just in time with the arrival of spring, CHEPLAPHARM Arzneimittel GmbH is celebrating the topping-out ceremony for the extension building at its headquarters in the Hanseatic town of Greifswald (Ziegelhof). The new construction project has been in full swing since August 2018 - the fast-growing company is thus creating space for new offices on around 5,300 square metres. After completion by the end of 2019, CHEPLAPHARM will have approximately 8,000 square metres of space for a total of 250 employees. About 7 million euros will be invested in the extensive construction project, entirely without public subsidies.

Greifswald (DE), 03/25/2019 – Together with the district administrator of Vorpommern-Greifswald, Michael Sack, the management of the general contractor OBAG Hochbau GmbH from Bautzen as well as numerous guests and employees, CHEPLAPHARM celebrates the traditional topping-out ceremony for its second office building in Greifswald (Ziegelhof). The new building became necessary as the company had grown from 74 to around 300 employees in the past four years.

"Today we have every reason to celebrate. With completing the shell construction of our new office building, we have literally created more space for our development", highlighted Sebastian F. Braun (CEO) during his ceremonial speech. "For us, the new building is both a symbol of our corporate success and a clear commitment to the location Greifswald and its people. This is where we feel comfortable and where we will continue to invest", Braun affirmed.
Furthermore, the head of the pharmaceutical company appreciated the very good cooperation with the construction company OBAG, which always responded flexibly and constructively to the constant challenges arising in such a complex project.

When planning the new building, CHEPLAPHARM followed the guidelines for a careful use of resources and energy efficiency, for example the installment of charging stations for e-cars and e-bikes on the new building site. Furthermore, the modern conference rooms can be adapted to different requirements and the meeting rooms will be equipped with state-of-the-art presentation technology and innovative communication media.

With more than 200 square metres, the extension building’s roof terrace represents another highlight: it can be used for events and for socialising during lunch break or after work.
